During my recent stay in a 4-star hotel in Jakarta, I experienced some pros and cons. the hotel is conveniently located near several shopping malls, such as Thamrin City and close to a convenience store. the staff were friendly, and the lobby and restaurant were stylish and welcoming. the breakfast provided had a decent range of food and drink options. on the downside, the room and bathroom were not of the expected standard for a 4-star hotel. the bathroom had cement on the back of the door, which made it feel dirty and poorly cleaned. the room flooring at some parts was water damaged and appeared to have been botched.

The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the complimentary toiletries provided. the hotel's location was ideal for our romantic escape, with easy access to the city's best shops and restaurants.
Our room was not very clean. Despite requesting a change of sheets, we still found hair strands on the bed and bathroom floor.

What a great Easter weekend at this hotel! The spacious and clean rooms really impressed me. The breakfast was also fantastic with a lot of variety and good quality food. Plus, the location was unbeatable with plenty of shopping centers and tourist attractions close by. I also liked the helpfulness of the staff who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable.
The surrounding area around the hotel wasn't the best and getting around during rush hours was a bit of a hassle. I wish there was a refrigerator available in the room.

We had a wonderful stay with great hospitality. The staffs were very helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. The location was fantastic, as it was near the shopping malls. the cleanliness of the hotel facilities was perfect.

Friendly staff who did their best despite language barriers. Beautiful lobby and restaurant. We had an issue with the hot water, but they responded quickly and fixed it. a decent stay at Hotel Shalva.
